Common questions
When can a UCC continuation be filed?
Under UCC section 9-515, a financing statement generally lapses five years after it is filed, and a continuation is effective only if it is filed within the six months before that lapse date. A continuation filed too early is ineffective. Use our continuation window calculator to find the window for any filing date.
Do you draft the collateral description?
